Chris Hord

Attending his first off road race in 1998, Chris witnessed his brother Chad’s first career win in Antigo, WI. From that moment Chris had off road racing in his blood. He engulfed himself in helping Hord Off Road Racing in all aspects of its operation. In 11 years with the team Chris had the pleasure of being part of three class championships and four world championships. In 2008 Chris met Steve Naughton when he decided to upgrade the team’s video and on-board cameras. With new equipment Chris began to enjoy filming the team’s races more and at the 2008 Crandon World Championships he found his calling. When asked to join several top-notch videographers to assist in filming the Borg Warner race for an upcoming documentary on the infamous track, Chris jumped at the opportunity. He made the decision that this is was what he was meant to do; bring off road racing to the masses through film. The decision to team with Amanda Fonferek and form Dirt Productions only seemed right; covering all media aspects of the sport under one banner.

Off Road racing has always been a family sport for Amanda. Attending her first SODA off road race in Luxemburg in 1995 at the age of 10, she fell in love with the sport and the energy around the race track. With her father becoming a crew member for a Pro 4 team, Amanda was able to continue to attend short course races for the next 11 years. In 2006, she went to a desert race and truly fell in love with taking pictures of the racing action as well as candid pit shots. With the WSORR series start up in 2007, Amanda was able to receive full media credentials and expand her exposure. For 2009 Amanda is excited for the opportunity to work with Chris Hord on the formation of Dirt Productions. She feels the new partnership will allow drivers and teams one stop shopping for all their in-car, video, and still photographic needs.
